|tons of tai chi!
We went to tai chi open house today. The whole clan came along: jinglechelle, witchy_minion, and my two daughters, R. and E. Ardemus was there too; I'm glad he could come. R. had a bit of a meltdown when dada had to put her down so he could pick up his sword She went home with witchy_minion. The rest of us had a good time. My tai chi teacher gave beautiful steel fans to all the ten-year students, and I got one. It's hard to believe I've been doing tai chi that long! Maybe if I keep doing it I'll live 900 years, like Yoda. Ardemus observed that my teacher looks much younger than she actually is.
We had good crazy fun with the girls this afternoon. Painting! Legos! Baseball (or possibly cricket?) etc. Now they're having bagels and Blue's Clues. After that, we're off to the Barn!
Tomorrow I will be able to start drafting (the paper...not soldiers, because that would be wrong).
There is nothing which is not Buffy.
To the Beachmobile...!
Mommy Evil is not feeling well today. :( Baby Evil does nothing but eat and sleep now; must be time to grow! J. seems to be feeling better.
Being a girl is hard work! Current Mood: pre-menstrual
This is Dr. Daddy Evil, coming at you live from the mothership. So now I'm apparently hooked on this Live Journal crack, too. The first hit's always free!
Sent the Tiptree paper off again today. Finished outlining Season Five of Buffy and Season Two of Angel. (WARNING: THIS BLOG MAY CONTAIN BUFFY/ANGEL SPOILERS; PROCEED WITH CAUTION.) Great how the Pilea sequence reproduces the history of production in reverse: Cordelia as commodity in the bikini ad, then Cordy as cow slave, and finally Cordelia as modernizing monarch, abolishing slavery (in a bikini almost identical to the one from the ad!)
First homework for anyone foolish enough to read this blog: I need a copy of The Authoritarian Personality by Theodor Adorno et al, UNABRIDGED edition. If it's less than 900 pages, I don't want it! I've got the abridged edition, and guess what they cut out? That's right, all the kinky bits! Are there any net search gods/goddesses out there?
